Can I manually delete files before the expiration date?

Best Practices for Time-Sensitive Files

Situation Recommended Approach
Urgent documents Notify recipients via phone/text that you've sent time-sensitive files
Large files Alert recipients to download soon, especially if they have slow internet
Critical contracts Follow up if tracking shows they haven't downloaded within 24-48 hours
Confidential data Consider using shorter manual expiration for highly sensitive information

Quick Tips

  • Inform recipients about the 7-day expiration when you send files
  • For critical documents, check tracking to ensure recipients download before expiration
  • If you need recipients to have longer access, consider alternative solutions
  • Downloaded files remain on recipient devices after link expiration
  • Purchase credits in advance (minimum 10 for $15) to ensure you can send files when needed
  • Remember that all file types are supported, but the total size limit is 10GB per send
